More than 400 participants, volunteers and supporters united Sunday, May 6 to raise funds for treatment and fight stigma at the 5th annual C4 Miles: Making Strides 4 Mental Health.

If Governor Quinn has his way,   community mental health centers  will lose more than $54 million beginning July 1.  Last Wednesday, 21 C4 consumers added their voices to the protest at a statewide rally sponsored by the Mental Health Summit Of Illinois.

For the second year in a row, C4 has been recognized  nationally for its efforts to deliver an innovative mental health literacy program.  The National Council on Behavioral Healthcare named C4 a runner up in its annual Best Community Impact competition, which honors extraordinary efforts to present its evidenced-based Mental Health First Aid (MHFA).

Chicago non-profit leader Eileen Durkin has joined Community Counseling Centers of Chicago (C4) as its President and Chief Executive Officer. In her new role, Ms. Durkin will lead C4 as it continues to provide much needed mental health services in an environment of declining resources. Ms. Durkin officially began her duties on March 19.
